Reverse osmosis water system for 75-90 L per day

In many regions the quality of tap water isn't very good. This may hamper plant cultivation in different ways. In professional horticulture water is treated by an osmosis system; this is a water filter system which removes 95% of the waters solutes so that exact fertilizing is possible. Opposite to conventional filter systems the osmosis membrane requires a change of every 2 to 8 years when maintained correctly. It turned out to be even more effective when the filtered water is mixed with 50% tap water.
Air humidifiers and other calcification-prone appliances can also be run with osmosis water. Mixing in insect repellent requires soft water like it is made via osmosis filtration. Osmosis systems require a pressure of at least 4 bar during operation and therefore must be connected to water mains or run by a high pressure pump.
